Players Journal SMS Program Terms

These SMS Program Terms are part of the Players Journal Terms of Service. The program is operated by Franklin Golf Lab, LLC.
1. Program Name
Players Journal by The Tournament Code (short name in messages: "Players Journal").
2. Program Description
Players Journal is a post-round golf journal by text message. After a player finishes a round, we text a short set of questions from +1 (615) 314-2481:
Tournament rounds (up to 4 texts):
- Round rating (1-5) and "Tiger 5" counts
- Two detailed good shots
- One mistake, what you would do next time, and a practice focus
- Optional scorecard photo (MMS)
followed by a confirmation summary of the entry.
Practice rounds: a lighter version of about 3 texts.
Reminders: at most one reminder per round if a question goes unanswered.
What starts the messages: the player texts PLAY to our number, or a round in the player's event schedule triggers the first text about 30 minutes after the round's expected finish.
Messages may include a link to the player's journal in our web app. We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies with how often the player plays. Expect roughly 3-5 messages per round played, plus replies to commands you send.
4. Cost
Msg & data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details. Franklin Golf Lab does not charge a separate fee for text messages beyond your Players Journal subscription.
5. How You Opt In
You opt in by creating an account at playersjournal.com/signup, entering the player's mobile number, and checking the SMS consent box (which is not pre-checked). After signup, we send a one-time confirmation text. Texting PLAY to our number from the enrolled number also confirms you want to receive journaling messages for that round.

HELP: Reply HELP at any time for help, or email info@franklingolflab.com.
STOP: Reply STOP at any time to cancel. We will send one final message confirming you are unsubscribed, and then no more messages. Opting out stops the text journaling feature, but it does not cancel your paid subscription; cancel that separately in account settings. To rejoin, reply START or turn texts back on in the web app.
We also honor other reasonable opt-out requests, such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT.
7. Age and Parental Consent
Players must be at least 13. For players under 18, the parent or legal guardian is the account holder and gives consent for the player's mobile number to receive program messages. Only the subscriber of a mobile number, or a person authorized by the subscriber (such as the parent of a minor), may enroll that number.
8. Supported Carriers and Delivery
The program is available on major U.S. carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and coverage and is not guaranteed.
9. Changing Your Number
If you change or give up the enrolled mobile number, update it in the web app or reply STOP from the old number first, so messages do not go to someone else.
10. Privacy
We do not share mobile numbers or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.
